About Us

PRIMO, inspired by Chef Roby's childhood memories, watching his Mother and Grandmother make gourmet specialties passed down in the family. The philosophy is straight forward: use the best local ingredients, create a memorable experience, and provide warm hospitality for our guests.

Chef Roby is excited to bring an authentic, yet eclectic and sophisticated restaurant to Geneva, for a perfect date night destination. This unique and intimate restaurant seats a cozy 25, providing the ultimate ambiance to indulge and relax We invite you to unwind after a long day and savor the flavors of the world, all while surrounded by beautiful chocolate and sugar artwork created by Chef Alain Roby himself!

Chef Alain Roby studied and learned his culinary art in Paris from the world famous Pastry Chef Lenotre and is a Certified Master Chef.

He also has been named as a permanent committee member of the exclusive Societe D'Escofier Chicago and has traveled all over the world. In his travels, he has served as the Private Pastry Chef to the Shah of Iran and has worked in London, Tokyo, New York and finally Chicago. Chef Roby was the celebrity guest chef on The Martha Stewart Show, and has been featured in numerous acclaimed tv- shows and magazine publications, including Food & Wine, Gourmet, Pastry Art & Design, Chocolatier, Architectural Digest.

He also served as a celebrity chef during the Celebrity Chef Tour in Chicago, for the James Beard Award Dinner with Marcus Samuelsson. Chef Roby has served as the head chef at the NFL Commissioner's Super Bowl Party for 19 years.
